Job description

The Fitter Mechanic is a skilled member of the Technical Department, supporting the safe and reliable operation of the vessel’s machinery and mechanical equipment. Working under the direction of Engineering Officers, the role carries out planned and corrective maintenance, mechanical repairs, overhauls and fault-finding on engines, auxiliary machinery, pumps, valves and associated equipment. Using strong mechanical fitting, machining and fabrication skills, the Fitter Mechanic helps maintain machinery in a safe, efficient and operational condition.
