Floater Teacher

Location: Recess – 1018 Germantown Ave. Suite 100 and 1040 N. American St. #901 Philadelphia, PA 19123 Full Day Programs Part-Time Ages 6 weeks - 6 years Recess is a modern, high-quality childcare space offering flexible, creative, and calm environments for kids and families. We're looking for a passionate, experienced Assistant Teacher to guide our play-based learning programs for infants. What You’ll Do Lead our ReadyPlay daily curriculum for children ages 6 weeks - 18 months, blending structure, creativity, and calm. Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities rooted in social-emotional growth, communication, and critical thinking. Supervise assistant teachers, collaborate with leadership, and ensure daily classroom operations meet PA DHS standards and Recess quality standards. Maintain a warm, inclusive environment that supports children of all backgrounds and learning styles. Communicate regularly with families to share updates, insights, and documentation of growth. Support safe, respectful transitions, rest periods, and routines throughout the full-day schedule. Requirements Must be 18+ and pass PA background checks (NSOR, FBI fingerprinting, child abuse, and state criminal). Valid pediatric CPR and first aid certifications (or willingness to complete). Annual training (12+ hours) and onboarding courses per DHS health and safety standards. You’re a Great Fit If You...
