Founding GTM Engineer

Job description

# **About Us** We're living through a fundamental shift in how people discover, evaluate, and purchase products. The next generation doesn't respond to traditional marketing -- they build relationships with brands through authentic social interactions, seek recommendations from communities they trust, and expect personalized experiences that feel human, not corporate. At Nectar, we're building the AI-native social operating system that enables this new era of commerce. We believe every social interaction should deepen the relationship between brands and their communities while creating genuine value for both sides. Founded by ex-Meta product and engineering leaders, we've raised over $30M in total capital from investors including GV and True Ventures. We work with brands like Oura Health, Caraway, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Kosas, OLIPOP, and many more. We're building the future of social commerce -- where community, conversation, and commerce converge. ## **The Role** We're hiring our first GTM Engineer to build the internal tools our sales and marketing teams run on, and to help design an outbound motion from the ground up. Spray-and-pray is dead. "Personalized" outbound is close behind, as every inbox is full of AI-written emails that reference some signal. You’ll be helping develop what comes next: outreach built on warm intros, real signals, and data only we have, that a thoughtful person is actually glad to receive. You'll help define it, build the systems behind it, and prove with numbers what works. You will get comfortable experimenting and building the end-to-end systems to enable those experiments. ## **What You'll Own** - **Internal tools.** When someone in sales, marketing, or even the C-Suite says "we have an idea," you're the one who says "let's build it," and has a working version in their hands within days. Ship end to end (front end, data, integrations, LLM pipelines), make build-vs-buy calls, and own adoption and reliability. - **Outbound that's fiercely averse to slop.** Help define which plays we run, which signals we act on, and what we'll never send. Then build the systems that let a small team run that motion with the care of a founder writing every email by hand. - **Outbound build on Nectar’s data.** We see what consumers are saying about brands in real time, and that's our edge. Pioneer the system that turns it into outbound that no other brand can send. - **Measurable growth experiments.** Hypothesize, build, measure meetings and pipeline, then kill or scale. Keep the scoreboard that leadership trusts. ## **Who You Are** - You've shipped internal tools people rely on every day, not just demos. You have proof of work. - AI-native: Claude Code or Cursor is how you work, not a novelty - You've run outbound or growth experiments and can show what moved the number - Strong opinions on good outreach. What’s working in outbound today? Why? How is that different from six months ago? - High ownership, low ego. ## **Nice to Have** - Experience with Clay, n8n, Gong, and Salesforce - Background in martech, social data, or selling to consumer brands - Prior founding-team or first-GTM-engineer experience
