We're looking for a Founding Solutions Engineer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in driving new business across a global territory. You'll work side-by-side with Account Executives to own the technical outcome of every deal — from first demo to signed contract — while serving as a trusted advisor, technical translator, and product advocate. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of engineering and customer success, and it's ideal for someone who loves being close to the product, the field, and the cutting edge. ## **About Unblocked** Unblocked is a high-growth, well-funded SaaS company that has built a context engine for coding agents and developers. This allows agents to be provided with the right context to research, plan and implement coding tasks without developers having to babysit them; thus reducing time and tokens in the agentic development lifecycle. Additionally, Unblocked provides developers a Q&A and Code Review interface to answer questions about their applications and architecture. ## **About You** You’ll play a key role in supporting customers as they evaluate and adopt Unblocked, ensuring an excellent product experience and continuously improving the quality of our answers. ## **What You’ll Do** - **Pre-Sales & New Business** - Partner closely with Account Executives on new business opportunities, taking full ownership of the technical workstream throughout the sales cycle - Cover a global new business territory spanning West Coast North America through EMEA, with travel to customer sites and industry conferences **Technical Demonstrations** - Deliver compelling, tailored live demos and lead technical Q&A sessions with prospective customers - Maintain and continuously improve demo environments and supporting assets to reflect the latest product capabilities **Proof of Concept** - Scope and design POCs with a clear understanding of customer integration requirements and technical constraints - Identify and flag non-standard configurations early, keeping the broader team informed - Speak confidently to system architecture, including dedicated VPC deployments and enterprise infrastructure considerations **Enablement & Training** - Run technical training sessions and enablement workshops for customers and prospects - Serve as a subject matter expert on MCP best practices and agentic tooling **Customer & Field Support** - Monitor Slack, email, and other channels to ensure technical questions are answered promptly and thoroughly - Complete first-pass security reviews and questionnaires in collaboration with internal teams **Product Feedback Loop** - Act as the voice of the field — actively synthesizing and communicating customer insights, pain points, and emerging patterns back to Product and Engineering - Translate what you're hearing in deals into actionable product intelligence ## **Requirements** - **Prior Founding SE experience required; strong engineering acumen preferred** — you don't need to have held the title, but you need to think and communicate like an engineer - **Startup experience** — you're comfortable with ambiguity, can context-switch quickly, and know how to build a process where none exists - **Demonstrable ability to manage multiple concurrent technical engagements** - you have experience working with potential clients and active clients simultaneously without missing a beat - **Deep familiarity with the agentic AI space** — you've built with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex and have a genuine grasp of the context and memory problem these tools are solving - **Hands-on experience with agentic workflows and skills** — you can demo them, explain them, and help customers implement them - **Genuine curiosity about what's next** — you follow new releases closely, experiment eagerly, and can rapidly incorporate new capabilities into GTM assets and demos ## **Culturally, we’re looking for people who are:** - **Driven to get things done:** Eager creators who execute quickly. - **Able to play well with others:** Collaborative and effective communicators. - **Passionate advocates for the end-user:** Dedicated to exceptional customer experiences. - **Different:** Offering unique perspectives and continuously learning. - **Ambitious malcontents:** Always seeking improvement and meaningful technological impact. ## **What’s in it for you?** - Competitive salary. - Equity in the company for eligible candidates. - Generous medical and dental benefits. - Very flexible vacation policy. - Your choice of Apple hardware to get started. - Opportunities for diverse personal growth and project involvement.
