FP&A Manager, Corporate

Job description

**About Nscale** Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you’ll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future. **About the Role** We are looking for an **FP&A Manager** to support Corporate FP&A, performance management, and business partnering across Nscale’s global functions and strategic initiatives. Based in the US, the role will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple locations and with the FP&A leadership team to improve decision-making, financial discipline, planning cycles, and forecast accuracy in a fast-scaling global business. This is a **high-ownership role** rather than a pure reporting or consolidation position. You will take responsibility for planning, forecasting, performance insight, and business partnering across an evolving portfolio, with scope adjusted over time to reflect business priorities, team structure, and individual strengths. The successful candidate will partner with senior functional leaders, contribute to executive and Board reporting, and lead or support high-priority cross-functional projects, including process and systems improvement, investment cases, post-acquisition integration, and other strategic initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to take ownership in a high-growth environment. You will combine strong financial fundamentals with curiosity and a proactive mindset to help shape business performance in a fast-scaling environment. **What You'll Do** **Planning, Forecasting & Decision Support** - **Budget & Forecast Ownership:** Own the budget and rolling forecast for an agreed portfolio of functions, including headcount, non-payroll costs, commitments, and key investment decisions. - **Financial Modeling:** Develop driver-based models and scenarios that support management decisions. - **Proactive Risk Management:** Challenge assumptions constructively and identify risks, opportunities, and actions early. **Business Partnering** - **Strategic Collaboration:** Act as the primary finance partner to senior functional leaders, creating trusted relationships by providing commercial insight and constructive challenge. - **Resource Allocation:** Support decisions on resourcing, supplier commitments, operating expenditure, and investment priorities, with clear articulation of trade-offs and financial consequences. - **Financial Governance:** Help strengthen financial discipline and accountability across the business, including purchase-order governance, cost ownership, and forecast accuracy. **Performance Reporting & Insight** - **Performance Analysis:** Lead monthly performance reporting for the portfolio, providing concise narrative on performance, drivers, forecast movements, decisions required, and forward-looking risks. - **KPI Frameworks:** Support the development of KPIs and performance tracking frameworks. **Strategic Finance, Data & Process Improvement** - **Cross-Functional Initiatives:** Support high-priority cross-functional projects, which may include planning-process design, finance systems and reporting improvements, integration, and cost optimisation initiatives. - **Data Usability:** Improve the quality, structure, and usability of FP&A data across relevant systems and reporting tools, working effectively where data and processes are still evolving. - **Scalable Operations:** Establish scalable, pragmatic processes that reduce manual work while retaining appropriate financial control. **About You** **Essential Skills & Qualifications** - 4+ years of relevant post-qualification experience, or equivalent experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or strategic finance. - Demonstrable experience owning an FP&A, commercial-finance, or business-partnering portfolio. - Strong analytical and modelling skills, with hands-on experience using financial systems (e.g., NetSuite & Pigment). - Experience partnering with senior non-finance leaders and challenging spend, headcount, and investment assumptions. - Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance stakeholders. - Experience operating in a high-growth, fast-changing, or complex business environment. - Demonstrated ability to create clarity from incomplete data and dynamic priorities. - Proactive mindset with a strong passion for continuous problem-solving. - Takes full responsibility for driving outcomes and delivering results. - Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to step back and align with the bigger strategic picture. - Confident and pragmatic stakeholder partner who builds trust and constructively challenges assumptions. - Maintains high standards of output while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. ## **What we can offer you** At Nscale, you'll find a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where your contributions spark real impact. We're building something extraordinary, and we want you at the core. - Highly competitive US compensation package (base + bonus + equity), with performance reviews every 12 months. 🚀 - Join one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies — your chance to directly shape how global AI capacity is planned and deployed. ✨ - Expect a dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions. Grow by leading critical cross-functional initiatives and shaping capital strategy — always with our full support. - Human-First Flexibility: We treat you as humans first. 🫶🏽 Our flexible workplace trusts Nscalers to deliver, giving you the autonomy to shape your day around life's moments. ## **Equal Opportunities Statement** We strongly encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, careers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. If there’s anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know. The responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and are intended to provide a general overview of the position. The employee may be required to perform additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management, consistent with the skills and qualifications required for the role.
