Our Egypt office serves clients across strategy, market intelligence, and advisory engagements throughout the region. ### About the Engagement **About the Engagement** We are building a standing bench of high-calibre freelance consultants to support Strategy & Advisory projects in Egypt on a per-project basis. As a Freelance Consultant, you will be engaged for specific project scopes and integrated into SG engagement teams, working alongside our full-time consultants under the direction of an Engagement Manager. Strong performers are prioritised for repeat engagements and considered for future full-time opportunities. **Engagement details** - Project-based independent contractor engagements, typically 4–16 weeks - Integrated into SG engagement teams under an Engagement Manager - Hybrid, with on-site presence in Cairo as project needs require - Strong performers prioritised for repeat engagements and future full-time opportunities ### What You'll Do - Research, gather, and document data using a range of research methods - Identify issues, formulate and test hypotheses through structured analysis - Organise and analyse data, translating it into meaningful insights - Develop presentations on findings and present results to teams and clients - Conduct and document client meetings and interviews - Lead day-to-day execution of assigned workstreams and contribute to client deliverables - Manage client relationships on projects, ensuring positive impact and sustainable results ### Required Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; Master's/MBA is a plus. - 3–6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in management consulting or a strategy/advisory role. - Demonstrated experience delivering analysis and client deliverables on strategy engagements. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. - Full professional fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken). - Based in Egypt with availability for on-site work in Cairo as project needs require. - Legally able to contract as an independent/freelance professional in Egypt. **Preferred Profile** - Prior experience at a regional or international consulting firm. - Sector exposure relevant to SG's client base (public sector, financial services, real estate, or consumer sectors). - Comfort operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven engagement teams with minimal ramp-up time. ### Selection Process Candidates joining the SG freelance bench complete a structured six-step process: - CV pre-qualification against SG's experience criteria. - Talent Assessment Test (online). - Phone screen with the Talent Acquisition team. - Case study exercise. - Competency-based interview with the service line. - Placement into the freelance bench and matching to live projects. **Engagement Terms** - Compensation: competitive daily or project-based rates, agreed per engagement scope. - Contract: independent contractor agreement per project; this is not an employment relationship. - Onboarding: SG tools access, confidentiality undertakings, and engagement briefing provided at project start.
