About the Role
The University of Europe for Applied Sciences is seeking experienced Freelance English Instructors to teach in the Studienkolleg Foundation Program at our Iserlohn campus. The courses prepare international students for entry into English-taught Bachelor programs and equip them with strong business-oriented language skills.
We are looking for instructors who are passionate about teaching English in a business and academic context, and who are comfortable working with a diverse, international student body.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective English instruction with a focus on business contexts
Teach core areas including grammar, academic and professional vocabulary, communication skills, and academic writing
ntegrate business-related topics such as project management, emotional intelligence, international trade, and business plans into lessons
Prepare students for the FSP exam, internal university admission tests, and transition to Bachelor-level studies
Design and conduct formative assessments and a final exam
Track attendance and support academic progress
Collaborate closely with the Studienkolleg program management team
Position Details
Two freelance positions are available:
6 SWS (Semesterwochenstunden – approx. 6 teaching hours/week)
12 SWS (approx. 12 teaching hours/week)
Teaching Format:
Fully in-person instruction required (on campus in Iserlohn)
Your profile
Proven teaching experience in English, ideally in a foundation year, Studienkolleg, or higher education setting
Experience teaching international student groups
Excellent proficiency in English
Master’s degree in English, Education, TESOL, or a related field (M.Ed. preferred)
