Freelance Guest Service Agent Hospitality (all genders) - Remote (Non-EU residents only)

Job description

We're building the future of urban stays. One city at a time. Homaris exists to solve one of the most persistent problems in modern cities: People from abroad need places to live, work, and just feel at home. We build and operate fully digitised serviced apartments across Germany´s major cities – next step: Europe and beyond. And a product vision — the nanopartment® — that reimagines what urban stays can look like in the smallest possible space. Revenue triples within two years — organically. No venture capital. No exit strategy. We are in this for the long run, and we build accordingly. Extraordinary people make this happen - and we're looking for one more. Your Role As a Freelance Guest Service Agent Hospitality (all genders), you are the first point of contact for our guests. You take on the digital care of guests throughout their entire stay and, with your hospitable communication and quick resolution of challenges, ensure a memorable holiday experience. You are at the wheel of our digital reception, always keeping a cool head and making sure every day that our guests feel completely at home at Homaris. Location requirement: Applicants must be based outside the European Union. What You'll Do Guest care. As the first point of contact, you respond digitally via chat or by phone to a wide range of enquiries and concerns, ensuring that every guest feels heard, supported, and well looked after. End-to-end support. You assist our guests before arrival, during check-in, throughout their stay, and after check-out, providing reliable advice and practical support at every stage of their journey. Pragmatic solutions. You are committed to fulfilling our guests’ wishes and approach every challenge with a calm, solution-oriented mindset. When issues arise, you assess the situation quickly and find practical ways forward. Product knowledge. You continuously build your knowledge of our apartments, locations, services, and processes so that you can provide accurate, helpful information and deliver a consistently high standard of service. Quality mindset. You take part in training sessions, stay up to date with relevant information, and contribute to maintaining and continuously improving Homaris’ guest service standards. Teamwork. When matters become more complex, you coordinate closely with our Guest Service Supervisors to develop suitable solutions and ensure a smooth experience for our guests. What Makes You a Fit Service orientation. You genuinely enjoy helping people, understand different guest needs, and are committed to creating a positive experience at every interaction. Flexibility. You are comfortable working at different times of the day and taking on occasional weekend shifts as part of a regular rotation, while remaining reliable, focused, and professional throughout your shift. Relevant experience. You have experience in customer support, hospitality, tourism, or a comparable service environment — for example as a call centre agent, receptionist, or guest service representative. A vocational qualification in tourism or hospitality is an advantage. Organisation. You work in a structured way, set clear priorities, and coordinate several enquiries and tasks effectively without losing sight of what matters most. Communication. You communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of personalities and are able to adapt your approach to different situations, expectations, and levels of urgency. Digital confidence. You are comfortable using software and digital solutions in your daily work and quickly familiarise yourself with new systems, tools, and processes. Language skills. You are fluent in English at C1 level, both written and spoken, and have very good German language skills at B2 level or higher, also in both written and spoken communication. System knowledge. You have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Experience with booking platforms or property management systems such as Apaleo and/or Guesty is an advantage. AI mindset. You recognise the potential of digital tools and are enthusiastic about using AI to make everyday work more efficient, improve service quality, and find better solutions for our guests. The Environment Homaris is a company with the maximum of long-term orientation. We don't burn cash to grow fast and sell. We build something real, and we expect the people who join us to want to build it with us — not to optimise for others. The pace is high. The problems are real. The team is small enough that every person matters. We're not always great at seeing and celebrating our wins. But we're working on it — and we'd love your help with that. Next Steps If this opportunity resonates with you, we’d be glad to learn more about your experience and perspective. Just send us your CV. After receiving your application, we will get back to you within 1-2 weeks. Questions? Reach out to Natalie at or +49 157 92465807.
