The Finance competency at EY is a multifaceted team that focuses on providing expert guidance and support to clients in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, managing and analysing finance and risk data, and implementing finance transformation initiatives. EY’s FSO Business Consulting are experiencing an exciting period of growth due to the financial services sector undergoing rapid transformative changes. In response to market demand, we are looking for an experienced senior manager in working with Financial Services Industry in Ireland or UK, and proven expertise in leadership of complex finance transformation delivery projects. Your Key Responsibilities: We are looking for a person with Finance and regulatory reporting experience, track record in transformation projects and team leadership experience, client relationship management excellence, communication, and business acumen as well as passion for innovation, building high performing teams and culture of trust, respect, and diversity. Client Responsibilities: Manage or support engagements with our clients and provide high quality consulting services to a portfolio of clients. Develop and maintain long term client relationships and networks, including the development of relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs Understand EY’s service offerings and actively support in identifying opportunities to better serve clients across our range of services Assist on business development opportunities and support client proposal development efforts. Manage innovation in processes and systems, leveraging technology to enhance client performance. Practice and People Development Responsibilities: Manage and Lead diverse teams with varying skillsets. Adapt your leadership style to fit team, client, and their cultural needs. Contribute to expanding our brand in the market by attending relevant events, collaborating with other internal teams, facilitating thought leadership, etc. Engage in business development activities including client presentations and proposals Foster a supportive, inclusive and growth team-oriented work culture. Skills and Attributes for Success To qualify for the role, you must have Excellent client relationship management skills, gained through prior consulting roles or within large financial services / technology organisations Expertise in key Finance Regulatory reporting or Regulatory change programmes – for example, knowledge of BCBS239, IReF, IFRS 9, SRB, Stress testing Understanding of finance processes, finance technologies and operating models and the ability to bridge the language of both business and IT Delivery Proven track record in management and leadership roles in Regulatory or Finance transformation projects and engagements in consulting industry Strong communications skills, with experience of managing strategy material and presenting to key stakeholders. An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) applied in a financial institution would be beneficial. Minimum of 7+ years’ in delivering regulatory reporting or finance transformation programmes. Experience applying methodoligies such as Prince2/PMP/Agile desired but not essential. Understanding of technology trends and implications on the Financial Services industry. Experience of delivery change through multi-disciplinary stakeholders and collaborating across jurisdictions. Excellent Stakeholder management skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programmes Demonstrated ability to manage, supervise and develop others, effectively communicate, manage budgets, timelines, and plans, manage client expectations, deliver quality projects.
