Full Stack Developer (Node.js & React.js)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer who builds the AI-native way. You are proficient in React.js and Node.js , and you treat AI coding assistants — Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, or equivalent — as everyday tools in your workflow, shipping production-grade code faster without compromising quality. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React.js and Node.js . Build and optimize REST APIs for high availability, scalability, and low latency. Work with relational and non-relational databases — MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra — ensuring data integrity and query performance. Implement messaging and real-time communication using Kafka, streams, and WebSockets . Contribute to low-level design (LLD) with clear, modular, and maintainable architectures, and adapt across architectural patterns. Write high-performance code backed by efficient memory management, and debug and resolve issues in live applications to keep systems reliable. Actively leverage AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, or equivalent) as a force-multiplier across the development lifecycle — API scaffolding, schema design, debugging async code, refactoring legacy services, code reviews, query optimization, and test generation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay current with emerging technologies, integrating them where they add value. Required Technical Skills 4-6 years of hands-on full-stack development experience with proven proficiency in React.js and Node.js — this is non-negotiable. Frontend: React.js (hooks, state management, component architecture, performance optimization), JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3. Backend: Node.js, RESTful API design, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth), asynchronous programming patterns. Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra — schema design, indexing, and performance tuning. Messaging & real-time: Apache Kafka, message-oriented middleware, WebSockets, and streams. Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, dynamic programming, and memory management techniques. Design: familiarity with multiple architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, MVC). Version control & workflow: Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines. AI-native development: hands-on, day-to-day experience with AI coding assistants, with the judgment to validate AI output rather than blindly accept it. Preferred Skills Familiarity with cloud platforms — AWS or Google Cloud . Exposure to containerization and orchestration — Docker and Kubernetes . Experience with caching layers (Redis) and performance profiling tools. Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven approach to problem-solving. Initial Screening — What You Must Submit Shortlisting for this role is based on demonstrated ability, not just your resume. To be considered, you must submit: A working prototype — a deployed or runnable full-stack application (React + Node) you have built. Share the live link and/or repository. Detailed documentation of your AI-assisted process — a written walkthrough of how you used AI agents/assistants throughout the build: which tools you used, how you prompted and iterated, where AI accelerated you, where it went wrong and how you caught and corrected it. Applications without both the prototype and the AI process documentation will not proceed to the interview stage. AI-Augmented Development at AbhiBus At AbhiBus, we believe AI tools don't replace engineers — they amplify them. Our engineers integrate AI deeply into the development workflow: Claude Code / Cursor / Copilot / Codex (or equivalent) — IDE-integrated AI assistants with deep project context for faster navigation and iteration across large codebases. By using AI to cut boilerplate and reduce cognitive load, our teams ship faster, debug smarter, and spend more time solving real business problems. Additional Information Candidates are responsible for safeguarding sensitive company data against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, and for reporting any suspected security incidents in line with the organization's ISMS (Information Security Management System) policies and procedures. AbhiBus is a leading online bus-ticketing platform that aggregates ticket inventory from over 4,000 bus operators - including major State Road Transport Corporations (SRTCs), covering more than 3.5 lakh (350,000+) routes across India. The AbhiBus website and apps allow users to check amenities provided by bus operators, compare booking fares, check bus timings in the searched route, live tracking of the bus before arrival, cancellation protection options and other facilities. It is the official ticketing partner for several state road transport corporation bus tickets and IRCTC bus bookings.
