Our partner is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-Leaning) – CoreMusic based in Brazil.** Join a high-impact engineering team building innovative AI-powered music and audio experiences for creators, developers, and businesses worldwide. As a backend-leaning Full-Stack Engineer, you will help transform cutting-edge music research into reliable production systems, APIs, and creative tools. You will collaborate closely with research engineers to integrate evolving AI models while building scalable infrastructure and intuitive user-facing features. Working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, you will take ownership of projects from early discovery and technical design through deployment and launch. You will also partner with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs, evaluate technical trade-offs, and deliver impactful product improvements. This role offers the opportunity to combine engineering excellence, product thinking, and a genuine passion for music and AI to shape the future of creative technology. ### Accountabilities: - **Backend Development and API Engineering:** Design, build, deploy, and maintain production-ready APIs and backend systems that power AI-driven music generation, sound effects, and audio processing capabilities. - **AI Model Integration:** Collaborate with research scientists and research engineers to bring new model capabilities into production, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and adaptable to future model improvements. - **Full-Stack Product Development:** Contribute across the technology stack, developing backend infrastructure and user-facing features that support seamless creative workflows and improve the overall product experience. - **Technical Ownership and Delivery:** Take projects from initial concept to production, translating ambiguous objectives into clear technical plans, evaluating trade-offs, and delivering solutions with minimal supervision. - **Product Strategy and Prioritization:** Work closely with go-to-market and other business teams to identify customer needs, prioritize features, and determine which product improvements will deliver the greatest impact, including tailored solutions for enterprise customers. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with research, legal, safety, growth, and design teams to address technical, operational, and regulatory considerations throughout the product development lifecycle. - **Customer Engagement:** Participate in technical customer conversations when needed, helping clarify requirements, resolve complex questions, and identify opportunities to improve products and services. - **Scalable System Architecture:** Design flexible infrastructure that accommodates evolving AI models and emerging capabilities while maintaining performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. - **Continuous Innovation:** Experiment with new ideas, explore emerging AI and music technologies, and turn promising prototypes into practical, production-ready solutions. ## Requirements: - **Full-Stack Engineering Experience:** Strong experience as a Full-Stack Engineer with a backend focus, including a proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining production APIs and backend systems. - **Product-Oriented Thinking:** Ability to break down ambiguous business or product objectives into actionable engineering plans, assess trade-offs, and deliver effective solutions without unnecessary delays. - **End-to-End Ownership:** A proactive, independent working style, with the ability to identify opportunities, define priorities, and drive projects from conception to launch without relying on detailed task assignments. - **Cross-Functional Communication:** Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across research, legal, safety, growth, design, and commercial functions, as well as engaging directly with enterprise customers when necessary. - **Technical Problem-Solving:** Strong analytical and architectural skills, with the ability to design robust, adaptable systems that support rapidly evolving AI capabilities and changing product requirements. - **Interest in Music and AI:** Genuine enthusiasm for music, audio technology, and artificial intelligence, with a hands-on mindset and an eagerness to experiment, prototype, and bring innovative ideas to life. - **Adaptability and Execution:** Comfortable working in a high-velocity, remote-first environment characterized by rapid experimentation, lean teams, autonomy, and minimal bureaucracy. - **Additional Assets:** Experience with music or audio technology, whether professionally or as a hobby, and familiarity with deploying machine learning models into production are considered advantages. - **Location and Time Zone:** Based in Brazil or another eligible location, with the ability to collaborate effectively during Central European working hours.
