Full-Stack Engineer - ElevenMusic

Job description

**This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer – ElevenMusic based in France.** Join an innovative engineering team building a next-generation consumer music application powered by artificial intelligence. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will take ownership of product features from initial concept and problem discovery through development, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will work across frontend and backend systems to create seamless experiences that enable users to listen to, create, remix, and stream music. Collaborating closely with research engineers, you will help transform cutting-edge AI capabilities into practical, engaging products for a broad audience. In a fast-paced, autonomous environment, you will experiment with new ideas, make critical product decisions, and bring features to users within days. This remote-first opportunity is ideal for a technically versatile builder who combines engineering excellence, strong product judgment, and a genuine passion for music. ### Accountabilities: - Own product features end to end, from identifying user needs and defining problems to designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining production-ready solutions. - Build and improve full-stack functionality for a consumer music application that enables users to discover, listen to, create, remix, and stream music. - Develop scalable, reliable, and intuitive frontend and backend systems, ensuring a seamless user experience across the product. - Identify valuable product opportunities independently, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and translate ideas into practical features that address real user needs. - Collaborate closely with research engineers to integrate emerging AI models and capabilities into engaging music experiences. - Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new ideas, using real user feedback and product performance to guide development decisions. - Maintain high engineering standards by reviewing code critically, identifying security vulnerabilities, eliminating unnecessary complexity, and ensuring the quality of shipped solutions. - Take full responsibility for the reliability and performance of your work, proactively identifying issues and resolving them without waiting for detailed instructions. - Leverage AI-powered development tools and workflows to accelerate implementation, improve code quality, and support rapid experimentation. - Contribute to a high-velocity engineering culture characterized by autonomous decision-making, fast continuous integration, minimal bureaucracy, and a strong focus on measurable product impact. ## Requirements: - Proven experience building and launching a well-designed consumer product from the ground up, taking it from initial development to real users. - Strong full-stack engineering capabilities, with hands-on experience across both frontend and backend development and a deep understanding of the systems you build. - Excellent technical judgment and code review skills, including the ability to quickly identify incorrect implementations, security risks, architectural weaknesses, and unnecessary complexity. - Outstanding product intuition, with the ability to distinguish high-value opportunities from low-priority features and make sound decisions about what should—and should not—be built. - A highly autonomous and proactive working style, with the ability to operate effectively in an environment with minimal direction, take ownership of challenges, and resolve problems independently. - A strong commitment to engineering excellence, including writing maintainable code, building reliable systems, and taking full responsibility for production outcomes. - Experience working in fast-moving product environments where experimentation, rapid iteration, and frequent releases are essential. - Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and an interest in applying emerging technologies to real-world consumer products. - A genuine interest in music, music creation, or the needs and experiences of artists and music creators. - Additional advantages include an active open-source or GitHub portfolio, experience developing music or audio products, and familiarity with recommendation systems, embeddings, or related technologies. - Ability to work remotely from Europe or the US East Coast while maintaining availability within the GMT-5 to GMT+1 time-zone range. ## Benefits: - Fully remote-first working arrangement, with flexibility to work from eligible locations across Europe and the US East Coast. - Option to work from company offices in London, New York, Dublin, Amsterdam, or Warsaw. - Opportunity to contribute to an ambitious AI-driven music product at the intersection of artificial intelligence, software engineering, and creative technology. - High-autonomy working environment that encourages rapid experimentation, independent decision-making, and direct ownership of product outcomes. - Fast development and release cycles, allowing you to see your work reach real users within days. - Close collaboration with talented engineers and AI researchers working at the forefront of emerging technologies. - Opportunities for professional growth and career development beyond the immediate scope of your role. - Annual discretionary learning and development stipend to support continued professional growth. - Annual discretionary social travel stipend to meet and connect with colleagues in person. - Annual company-wide offsite at a different destination, providing opportunities to build relationships across the global team. - Monthly coworking stipend for team members who work remotely outside the main office hubs. - Inclusive, equal-opportunity working environment that values talent, creativity, and impact regardless of background.
