**This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Platform Engineer based in India.** We are looking for a technically strong Full Stack Platform Engineer to lead a small engineering team in building and maintaining scalable, high-quality applications. This remote contract opportunity combines hands-on software development with technical leadership and full lifecycle ownership, from solution design through deployment. You will work across backend and frontend technologies to develop secure APIs and event-driven architectures. The role also involves leveraging cloud-native services, strengthening DevOps practices, and integrating AI workflows into the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs. This is an opportunity to contribute to modern platform engineering while promoting technical excellence, accountability, and reliable delivery. ### Accountabilities: - Lead and coordinate a small engineering team, encouraging accountability, collaboration, and high standards of technical quality. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using backend and frontend technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, React, and Angular. - Architect and implement event-driven systems using technologies such as Apache Kafka. - Design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance APIs using REST and GraphQL. - Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, using cloud-native services. - Implement and improve DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure management, and infrastructure as code. - Use containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to support reliable application deployment. - Integrate AI workflows into development processes to improve engineering efficiency and software delivery. - Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to maintain clear communication and ensure technical solutions meet project objectives. ### Requirements: - Strong proficiency in backend development, with practical experience in frontend technologies. - Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures and developing robust APIs. - Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, React, Angular, Apache Kafka, and REST or GraphQL APIs. - Proven experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and AWS; relevant cloud certifications are preferred. - Hands-on DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure management, and infrastructure as code. - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud-native development practices. - Experience integrating AI workflows into software development processes. - Previous experience providing tactical leadership to a small engineering team. - Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills. ### Benefits: - **Remote work:** Opportunity to work remotely from India. - **Contract position:** Engagement is offered on a contract basis. - **Technical leadership:** Opportunity to lead a small engineering team while remaining involved in hands-on development. - **Modern technology stack:** Work with cloud platforms, event-driven architectures, containerization, infrastructure as code, and AI-enabled development workflows. - **End-to-end ownership:** Contribute across the application lifecycle, from architecture and development to deployment and maintenance.
