Position Overview The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates and treats patients across the lifespan, developing and implementing individualized care plans to improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life. This role includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation support staff. Position Details Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Department: Rehabilitation Services Location: West Jefferson, NC Travel: None required Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experience Why Join Ashe Memorial Hospital Patient-focused care model that prioritizes quality over volume Collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong clinical support Leadership opportunities, including mentoring PTAs and support staff Professional autonomy to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized care Recognition as a multi-year Best Place to Work Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, including pediatric through geriatric populations Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize outcomes Supervise and mentor PTAs and rehabilitation support staff Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery strategies Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards Minimum Qualifications Licensure: Current North Carolina license as a Physical Therapist (or eligibility) Certification: Current CPR certification Experience: Pediatric and/or neurological rehabilitation experience preferred Core Competencies Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively Dedication to continuous professional growth Schedule & Work Environment Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Occasional weekend coverage as needed On-site position; no travel required Benefits Comprehensive benefits begin the first of the month following employment , in accordance with hospital policy.
