Interns will learn from the best in the industry and work on substantial projects with real world implications, getting hands-on with digital technologies. What you’ll do: Focus areas for this internship will be in Grid – Software Solutions within Services and Engineering functions. In this position, the interns will work on solving interesting problems related to Wholesale Energy Markets. What you’ll bring - Basic Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Master or PhD program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator program. Degree focused on Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant STEM majors Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship. Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bellevue, WA. Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship What will make you stand out - Desired Qualifications : Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in software, electrical engineering, power systems or relevant areas. Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, GPU applications, or quantum computing Background in optimization or power systems Hands-on coding experience Experience with artificial intelligence and conversational AI technologies for developing intelligent assistants A strong commitment to a career in technology and passion/aptitude for both software and electrical engineering. Strong analytical and technical skills with experience in software industry standards and development tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly. The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $36.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed. This position is also eligible for: Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible. Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
