General Ledger Accountant

Job description

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced **General Ledger Accountant** to join our Finance and Accounting team in either **Jackson, MS or Baton Rouge, LA**. This hands-on individual contributor role will own key general ledger and month-end accounting activities, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, cash activity, Accounts Payable accounting review and posting, and other general ledger functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes ownership of assigned accounts and processes, and is comfortable working within an ERP to research transactions, identify discrepancies, and carry issues through resolution. Experience with **Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision** and within a project-based environment is strongly preferred.
