General Sonographer - Swansea Area

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled **General Sonographer** to join our imaging team in Swansea. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of high-quality ultrasound examinations, supporting the diagnosis and management of patients across various clinical specialties. You will be working alongside radiologists, consultants, and other healthcare professionals in a supportive environment, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care. --- ## **Key Responsibilities** - Perform a broad range of **general ultrasound scans**, including: - Abdominal - Gynaecological & early pregnancy - Small parts (e.g., thyroid, testes, soft tissue) - Musculoskeletal (where competent) - Obstetric imaging (if applicable) - Provide clear, accurate reports and escalate urgent findings appropriately. - Deliver a safe, compassionate, and professional patient experience. - Maintain excellent infection control, safety, and quality standards. - Support the training and development of junior staff and students. - Participate in audit, clinical governance, and service improvement activities. --- ## **Qualifications & Experience** - Current **HCPC registration** - Demonstrable experience in general sonography (minimum 12 months post-qualification preferred). - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
