Job description
Job Title: Geospatial Analyst ROLE OVERVIEW In this role you will deliver actionable insights through spatial data analysis, GIS technologies, and advanced data visualisation. The role combines geospatial intelligence, analytics, and business insight to support data-driven decision-making across operational and strategic domains. Key Responsibilities Geospatial Analysis & Insights Analyse geospatial datasets to identify patterns, trends, and optimisation opportunities Perform spatial analysis including: Mapping and visualisation Route optimisation Movement and behavioral tracking Translate spatial data into meaningful business insights Data Management & Integration Collect, cleanse, and integrate geospatial and related datasets from multiple sources (e.g., APIs, IoT/telematics systems) Maintain data quality, consistency, and governance standards Work with structured and unstructured data across platforms GIS & Tooling Develop and maintain geospatial models and datasets using: ArcGIS / QGIS Produce high-quality maps, layers, and spatial outputs Leverage GIS capabilities for operational and strategic use cases Reporting & Visualisation Build interactive dashboards and reports (e.g., Qlik, Power BI) Present insights through compelling visual storytelling Support stakeholders with real-time and historical analytics Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with business, operations, and technical teams Translate requirements into analytical solutions Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences Core Skills & Experience Technical Skills Strong experience in Geospatial Analysis / GIS ArcGIS, QGIS or similar tools Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation SQL, Python (preferred) Experience with data visualisation tools Qlik (advantageous), Power BI, Tableau Understanding of data integration and APIs Domain Experience (Advantageous) Telematics / fleet / logistics / tracking data [1] Smart cities, utilities, or location intelligence platforms Operational analytics environments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in: Geospatial Science, Geography, GIS, Data Science, or related field Relevant certifications in GIS or analytics tools (advantageous) Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to translate complex spatial data into business insights Effective communication and stakeholder engagement Curiosity-driven and innovation-focused mindset
