The Bilingual Medical Interpreter will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between patients and healthcare providers in medical settings. ### Responsibilities - Provide verbal interpretation services to facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers - Accurately and effectively interpret medical conversations, including patient history, diagnosis, treatment options, and instructions - Assist with the translation of medical documents and forms - Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards - Stay up to date on medical terminology and procedures - Build rapport and establish trust with patients and healthcare professionals ## Requirements - Fluent in both English and German (spoken and written) - Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to different dialects and accents - Strong listening and comprehension skills - Highly professional and empathetic demeanor - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Equipment Requirements for the Position:** - **Computer:** Intel Core i5 processor (8th generation or newer) or Ryzen 5 (3000 series or higher), minimum 4 cores / 8 threads, 8–16 GB RAM, and 256 GB SSD or larger. - **Connectivity:** Mandatory use of a wired Ethernet connection. VPN use is not allowed, and work must be performed only from the approved location. - **Audio:** Wired headset with a boom microphone, unidirectional and with noise cancellation.
