Job description
**This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Controller based in United States.** This is a senior finance leadership role responsible for strengthening the financial foundation of a rapidly scaling global technology organization. You will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and consolidation activities across 14 international entities and multiple jurisdictions. The role combines operational leadership with strategic influence, ensuring financial data is accurate, compliant, and ready to support executive decision-making. You will lead a team of approximately 15 finance professionals while driving process improvements, automation, and operational scalability. A key priority will be transforming manual workflows and accelerating the month-end close through modern financial technology and AI-enabled tools. You will work closely with executives, board members, investors, banks, and cross-functional teams on high-impact financial matters. This is an opportunity to shape global finance operations at the intersection of enterprise technology, SaaS, security, and AI. ### Accountabilities: - Oversee global accounting operations and financial reporting across 14 international entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and applicable local statutory standards. - Lead and manage an international finance team of approximately 15 professionals, primarily based in India, fostering operational excellence, accountability, and continuous development. - Direct multi-entity, multi-currency financial consolidations and complex statutory reporting requirements across global subsidiaries. - Drive the development and implementation of scalable financial policies, procedures, controls, and workflows to support rapid organizational growth. - Lead finance transformation initiatives by leveraging modern accounting platforms and AI-driven tools such as NetSuite, FloQast, Tipalti, and Concur. - Automate manual processes and optimize accounting workflows with the goal of significantly reducing month-end close timelines. - Ensure financial transactions and reporting meet applicable regulatory requirements as well as board, banking, and investor reporting standards. - Own the integrity and reliability of financial data used for executive, board, investor, and strategic decision-making. - Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, travel and expenses, leases, commissions, corporate cards, expense policies, general ledger management, and month-end close. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather accurate financial information and align accounting operations with broader business objectives. - Lead change management initiatives and guide the finance organization through periods of rapid growth and operational scaling. - Proactively identify financial risks, operational opportunities, and areas for improvement, implementing solutions that strengthen the overall finance function. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, combined with 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience. - Active CPA or CMA certification is required. - Big 4 public accounting experience is required. - Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role within a high-growth technology or SaaS organization. - Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including hands-on experience with multi-currency consolidations, multi-jurisdiction accounting, and local statutory reporting. - Experience working in high-growth, hyperscaler, or established technology environments. - Strong track record of automating financial processes, optimizing workflows, and modernizing manual accounting operations. - Proficiency with NetSuite ERP and familiarity with modern accounting technologies such as FloQast, Tipalti, and Concur. - Strong operational accounting expertise across AP, T&E, leases, commissions, corporate cards, expense policy management, GL management, and month-end close. - Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop international finance teams through organizational change and growth. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to executives and board-level stakeholders. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills. - Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and address financial risks and opportunities independently. - Preferred location is within the US East Coast or Central time zones to facilitate regular collaboration with an India-based finance team. **Benefits:** - Opportunity to take ownership of the global financial engine of a rapidly scaling technology and SaaS organization. - Significant influence over financial strategy, reporting integrity, automation, and global operational processes. - Leadership responsibility for an international finance team of approximately 15 professionals. - Exposure to executive, board, investor, and banking-level financial reporting and decision-making. - Opportunity to modernize accounting operations through leading financial technology and AI-driven tools. - High-impact environment at the intersection of enterprise security, SaaS, and AI. - Opportunity to build scalable global finance infrastructure and make a lasting contribution to organizational growth.
