Graduate Software Engineer

**About Wayflyer** Today's small businesses need a capital provider that keeps pace with their growth ambitions. Traditional financing options are slow, cumbersome and often out of reach. That's why we built Wayflyer. Our technology allows us to assess businesses in minutes, generate financing offers that reflect their growth potential, and send funds in as little as 24 hours. To date, we've deployed over $6bn to thousands of businesses worldwide, backed by Tier 1 banks like J.P. Morgan. You'll be collaborating with ambitious colleagues from around the world. We have offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin and Sydney. **The challenge** Every founder who applies for funding moves through one connected system, from the data that assesses their business in minutes, to the product experience that makes getting funded feel effortless. As a graduate engineer, you won't just be handed a slice of that system to maintain. You'll get exposure to the whole thing: the data model, the API, the screen a founder trusts with their business, and the room to figure out where you want to go deep. **What you'll actually do** - Own features end-to-end: work with product and design to shape solutions, build them, and ship to production, creating outcomes, not just closing tickets - Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests - Build new features that drive revenue and engagement, while keeping the lights on for what's already live - Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation - Push technical discussions forward and raise the bar on quality, rather than waiting to be told what "good" looks like Every feature you ship has a real person behind it, a founder waiting on funding, a brand trying to grow, so the way you build matters as much as what you build. **What this role could turn into** Engineers who bring this kind of ownership tend not to stay in one lane for long. Some grow into technical leads shaping how we build across teams. Others move into product-adjacent roles, working even closer with the businesses we serve. And some end up specialising deep into the systems and infrastructure that let us scale globally. Where you go depends on what you're curious about. **Who thrives here** You're a curious builder who gets genuine satisfaction from turning a messy idea into something people actually use. You ask questions before you assume, communicate clearly when something's not working, and take ownership without needing permission for every step. You're comfortable in ambiguity, you'd rather experiment and learn than wait for the perfect brief, and how you treat people matters to you as much as the code you ship. **We hire for range** - A computer science background (or equivalent hands-on experience), with a solid grip on data structures, algorithms, and software design fundamentals - Comfort with Git and modern development workflows - Hands-on experience with Python, React (or similar), and SQL/relational databases - Bonus, not required: exposure to REST APIs, testing frameworks, CI/CD, cloud, or containerisation We're less interested in ticking boxes on a CV and more interested in trajectory. **Location and working policy** Based in our Dublin HQ. Hybrid, 3-4 days onsite to start, transitioning to a more flexible remote role over time. Please note we are hiring for a start date in June 2027. **The good stuff** 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, private healthcare, life insurance and critical illness cover, a pension plan, generous parental leave, equity, and the option to work from abroad for up to 60 days a year. *By submitting your application, you acknowledge that Wayflyer Limited will process your personal data for the purpose of evaluating your suitability for the role.
