The Grocery / Refrigeration Clerk at Mother’s Market supports the daily operations of the Grocery and Refrigeration departments by maintaining well-stocked, organized, and high-quality product displays. This role plays a key part in delivering excellent customer service while ensuring product freshness, accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. Grocery / Refrigeration Clerks represent Mother’s Market values and contribute to a welcoming, wellness-focused shopping experience. Wage Range : $17-$21/hour Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discounts Key Responsibilities Stock, rotate, and face grocery and refrigerated products according to company standards Ensure proper dating, freshness, and temperature control of refrigerated items Maintain clean, organized shelves, coolers, and backroom areas Assist customers with product location, questions, and recommendations Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to leadership Remove expired, damaged, or unsellable products promptly Support accurate inventory practices and shrink reduction efforts Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and food-handling standards Promote Mother’s Market values, including wellness, sustainability, and community Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth store operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous grocery or retail experience is a plus, but not required Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays Desired Traits Friendly, positive, and customer-focused attitude Interest in natural foods, wellness, and healthy living Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment Benefits (may vary by position) Competitive pay Employee discount on Mother’s Market products Flexible scheduling Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive, mission-driven work environment Physical Requirements Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs.
