GTM/ Sales - Territory Sales Lead (Líder de Vendas Locais) - Recife/PE (Remote)

Job description

**Clara is the leading platform in Latin America for companies to execute and manage every payment operation.** More than 50,000 leading and fast-growing businesses run on our corporate cards, bill pay, financing and B2B payments, and in 2025 the Financial Times named Clara the region’s fastest-growing company. We’re passionate about helping every company we work with become more effective—and, through that, raising the region’s competitiveness. We’re ~400 people, backed by Notable Capital, Coatue, Kaszek, monashees, DST Global, ICONIQ, General Catalyst and Goldman Sachs, among others. ### **What you'll do** We're looking for a **Sales Lead** to spearhead our growth in **Recife**. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding Clara’s footprint by identifying high-value business opportunities, nurturing strategic client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to revolutionize spend management for companies across Latin America. - **Drive Sales Growth:** Own the end-to-end sales cycle, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand Clara's client base in the Northeast region. - **Leverage Local Network:** Utilize your existing relationships and deep understanding of the **Recife** business ecosystem—specifically among decision-makers in finance and operations—to generate high-quality leads. - **Manage Sales Pipeline:** Oversee lead generation, qualification, and closing, ensuring a consistent and predictable flow of new partnerships. - **Strategic Relationship Management:** Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their complex financial needs and providing tailored solutions via the Clara platform. - **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with Marketing and Product teams to align local market insights with our broader growth strategy, using tools like **HubSpot** to track and optimize your impact. - **Operational Excellence:** Use **Google Drive** and automated workflows to maintain rigorous documentation and performance tracking. ### **Who you are** *We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.* **Must haves:** - **Minimum 5 years of experience** in high-growth sales environments (SaaS or Fintech preferred). - **Local Expertise:** Currently based in **Recife** with a strong, active network among finance leaders and key influencers in the region. - **Communication:** Working proficiency in English and Portuguese. - **Execution:** Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing complex negotiations independently. - **Adaptability:** Ability to thrive in fast-changing environments and operate with high ownership. - **Tech-Savvy:** Experience or strong interest in using AI tools and automation (like **N8N** or **Slack**) to improve sales workflows. **Nice to haves:** - **Technical Skills:** Independent analytical skills using spreadsheets, **SQL**, or **Python**. - **Language:** Basic proficiency in Spanish or a desire to learn. - **Tools:** Prior experience using **Amplemarket** or **HubSpot** for outbound prospecting. - A good sense of humor. ### **How we work in this territory** Recife is an emerging territory for Clara — there's no office to go into, so this role works remotely from Recife day to day. You'll ramp up in person with the team, and come together in person for team moments, events and customer visits through the year. ## Why Clara - **A high talent-density team** driven to make an impact in Latin America — low ego, high ownership. - Competitive salary and stock options (ESOP) from day one. - An annual learning budget and accelerated development paths. - English is our working language, with Spanish and Portuguese every day. ## How we work - **Clarity** — Open and direct communication: we say what we mean and give context where it matters. - **Simplicity** — If it can be simpler, it should be. - **Ownership** — We own everything we do, end to end. When something needs to happen, we don't wait. - **Pride** — We hold ourselves to a high standard, and it shows in what we deliver. - **ABC (Always Be Changing)** — We adapt fast, embrace change, and keep learning. - **Inclusivity** — Diverse ideas, stories and perspectives build a better Clara. If you meet the must-haves, apply — the nice-to-haves are a bonus, not a requirement.
