Job description
The Guest Services Member is responsible for the gate house and reception area in the WCBR lobby area and provides a visual security presence to ensure that all residents, staff and visitors of WCBR have a safe and pleasant experience while visiting the campus. This is demonstrated through being the communication center point of the community. The starting hourly pay range for this position is $17.91 to $19.52. Pay rates are determined based on years of relevant experience. This is a part-time position. Shift times will vary based on organizational needs. ### Responsibilities - Responsible for making a good first impression, which can impact the success of the organization for a long time. - Responsible for answering and routing calls, greeting resident and visitors, handling inquiries, and providing information. - Monitor all apartment and cottage life safety systems, i.e. smoke detectors, emergency pull cords, living unit telephones and initiate emergency procedures as necessary. - Conduct rounds to ensure a safe and pleasant experience. - Monitor both vehicular and foot traffic in and around the WCBR campus. - Assist in transporting residents to various locations as needed during emergencies. - Respond to all fire, health and other emergencies according to WCBR policies. Assist and guide police, fire and other emergency personnel as needed. Investigate incidents and file reports as appropriate. ### Qualifications - Experience in Guest Services or Hospitality setting. - Typically the Guest Services Member is the first line of employees that residents and guest visitors interact with, so a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude is required. - Basic typing skills and basic knowledge of PC and word processing software required. - Excellent communication skills. - Available to work evenings and weekends as required. ### Requirements - Must have a valid Virginia Driver's license with clean record. - Current CPR and First aid certification. - High school diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
