Job Title: Hand Sewing Operative We have an exciting opportunity for Hand Sewing Operative to join our Needlework Department. This is a full time, permanent position working 38 hours per week as follows: Monday to Thursday 0700-1600, and Friday 0700-1100. Rate of pay for this role is £13.45 per hour. About the Role As a Needlework Operative here at Johnstons of Elgin, you will be • Hand sewing labels and adding logos to our luxury products, including scarves and blankets • Adding embroidered logos to products • Removing backing materials and trimming excess threads • Following detailed instructions carefully and accurately • Working with a high level of attention to detail to ensure products meet our quality standards • Taking pride in producing work to a consistently high standard • Working efficiently to achieve the required output levels and meet our production plan • Working as part of a team to support the smooth running of the Needlework Department About you This is what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate: • Show an interest in fashion, textiles or crafts • Have the ability to carefully and accurately follow detailed written instructions • Take pride in doing a job well, and never compromise on high standards • Be a team player with good communication skills • Have good colour vision • Organised and reliable • Be able to work to deadlines About Us Founded in 1797, Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative, luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the world’s finest fibres.
