Department Overview The assignment will be to the Procurement Operations Department, Rakuten Group, Inc. The Procurement Operations Department is responsible for procurement operations across the entire Rakuten Group. Within this department, the Global Sourcing Section serves as the centralized function for company-wide sourcing, collaborating with business divisions to select and negotiate with suppliers. We have set up “Hardware Category Management team” and “Indirect & Service Category Management team” under Global Sourcing Section to promote centralized Service Category Procurement sourcing. Hardware primarily includes, but is not limited to, the following services: 1. Telecommunication equipment (base station, network switch, router, server, test equipment etc.) 2. Maintenance services of telecommunication equipment. Additionally, as the business domain, telecom business such as Rakuten Mobile and Rakuten Symphony are one of key focus areas. 3. Indirect & Service covers general purpose goods and services that support the business operation of Rakuten Group. Position: Why We Hire Hiring Hardware/Indirect Sourcing Staff for Centralized Procurement Position Details - Supplier selection of Hardware/Indirect Category - Negotiation of business conditions and conclude procurement contracts - Optimize Hardware/Indirect service Spend, and implement Cost Saving initiatives - Build relationship with key suppliers - Alignment with internal stakeholders and related departments worldwide Work Environment Around 80 people Mandatory Qualifications: - More than 3years experience in Purchasing or Procurement function - Japanese Language Capability (Native or JPLT N1) - English proficiency (business-level speaking and listening skills) Desired Qualifications: - Experience in Hardware Category or Indirect Category Procurement - Experience in Contract negotiation and RFP/RFQ - Experience in Global Procurement - Experience in Telecom domain industry - TOEIC score of 800 or higher Other Information: Additional information on Location Rakuten Crimson House #corporate #procurement #operationdiv
