About the RoleAs a Hazardous Area Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring electrical equipment and installations within hazardous areas remain compliant with relevant standards and site requirements. About the Role
As a Hazardous Area Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring electrical equipment and installations within hazardous areas remain compliant with relevant standards and site requirements.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting detailed hazardous area inspections of electrical installations and equipment
- Verifying compliance with AS/NZS and IECEx requirements
- Identifying defects and non-conformances within hazardous area installations
- Reviewing inspection records, documentation and asset registers
- Preparing inspection reports and recommendations
- Supporting rectification and maintenance activities
- Working closely with site maintenance and engineering teams
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality
Requirements
What We're Looking For
To be considered for upcoming opportunities, you will ideally possess:
- Recognised Hazardous Area Inspection qualification (EEHA)
- Electrical trade qualification
- Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence
- Demonstrated experience conducting hazardous area inspections in industrial environments
- Strong understanding of hazardous area standards and compliance requirements
- Current LVR/CPR certification
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol screening
