Head of Crypto

Job description

**About us** Traditional banking has never really given people control over their financial life. Satispay exists to change that: to **empower people through finance**. That means making financial services easy and accessible for millions of users. We started with payments, then benefits, investing, cards... and we’re not done. Not even close. Same logic every time: find a real problem, solve it properly, then look for the next one. The destination? To build the most loved financial platform in the world. Getting there takes leaders who own outcomes across teams, not just tasks, and set the tone for refusing the “someone else will fix this” culture. If that's how you lead, you'll fit right in. **What you'll be doing** As the Head of Crypto, you will be the driving force behind a brand new, core pillar of Satispay's expansion into the cryptocurrency and Web3 space. We already have a high-potential strategy in place—your mission is to take the reins, execute it flawlessly, adapt it when necessary, and expand upon it wherever possible. Given the strategic importance of this initiative to Satispay, you will work with a high degree of autonomy and have direct, frequent touchpoints with the Satispay founding team to align on execution, team scaling, and long-term vision. Here’s what that looks like in practice: - **Hire & Build Your Team:** Identify talent needs, recruit, and structure a dedicated, high-performing cross-functional team from the ground up to bring Satispay's crypto vertical to life. - **Execution & Strategic Evolution:** Take ownership of our existing crypto roadmap. Drive its execution to deliver immediate impact, while continuously evaluating the market to make necessary adjustments and expand our offerings when new opportunities arise. - **Executive Collaboration:** Partner directly with the founders and C-level executives to ensure the crypto rollout continuously aligns with the company's ultimate mission to simplify everyday finance. - **Product Development:** Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of our crypto products—from infrastructure setup and go-to-market strategy to launch and continuous optimization. - **Regulatory Navigation:** Work in lockstep with the Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all products align perfectly with evolving European regulations (such as MiCA) and safeguarding standards. - **Strategic Partnerships:** Identify and establish crucial relationships with key players in the crypto ecosystem, including exchanges, custodians, liquidity providers, and blockchain networks. You will lead and mentor high-performing teams, collaborate closely with peers with structured communication and transparency, demonstrating a commitment to integrity and ownership. **What we're looking for** We are seeking for an execution-focused, and product-minded leader with a deep passion for digital assets that matches our company culture. - **Experience:** 7+ years of experience in crypto/Web3 initiatives at a regulated Fintech, exchange, or crypto-native company. - **Team Building:** experience hiring, managing, and scaling specialized, high-performing teams in a fast-paced tech or financial environment. - **Master of Execution:** ability to take a high-level strategy and turn it into shipped products, scaling operations effectively from the ground up. - **Industry & Market Expertise:** Deep, technical understanding of blockchain architecture, crypto market dynamics, digital wallets, custody solutions, and Web3 infrastructure. - **Regulatory Awareness:** Solid knowledge of the European crypto regulatory landscape (e.g., MiCA, AML/KYC for digital assets) and a history of launching products within a strict compliance framework. - **Strategic Adaptability:** Ability to balance bold expansion with stringent risk management - **Communication & Influence:** Excellent ability to align internal and external stakeholders, translating complex crypto concepts into clear, actionable business updates for the founding team. - **Language Proficiency:** You are completely fluent in English. Knowledge of Italian is considered a plus. We recognise that exceptional leadership comes in many forms. If you believe you have the vision, experience, and drive to help us shape the future of money, we encourage you to apply. We value the unique perspectives and strengths that exceptional leaders bring, even if their experience doesn't align with every listed requirement. **Why this is your place** This is a unique opportunity to leverage your experience and leadership to make a profound impact on a company poised for significant future growth. We operate on a principle of reciprocity: significant strategic impacts are met with meaningful rewards and opportunities. - **Drive transformative impact.** Lead critical functions and initiatives that directly contribute to our mission and impact millions of users and businesses. - **Operate in high-growth.** Thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment that demands bravery, resilience, and rapid, decisive action at scale. Experience the excitement of navigating growth where change is constant and the customer base/services are rapidly expanding. - **Significant equity participation.** Directly share in Satispay's success through a competitive Stock Option Plan designed to reward leadership and contribution to company growth and raise the bar for collective success. - **Lead exceptional teams.** Build, mentor, and collaborate with high-performing teams in a culture of ownership, collective success, and continuous improvement fueled by feedback. You will learn from the best and lead alongside founders who are hands-on. **CareAbout: how we support your impact** We move fast, and evolution never stops. It’s a fun ride, but it can be challenging. To make sure our people truly thrive, we’re committed to making their lives easier, both in the office and out in the world. That’s why we created CareAbout: - ❤️ **Health:** private insurance for you and your family, psychological support with Serenis, mental health workshops. - 💰 **Financial resources:** Stock Option Plan, meal vouchers, relocation support if you’re moving countries. - ⚙️ **Growth and development:** professional development programs, internal mobility, language courses with Preply. - 🌱 **Flexibility:** unlimited PTO, hybrid working policy, flexible working hours. - 👨‍👩‍👧 **Family:** enhanced parental leave, additional leave for child sickness. **Equal Opportunity Employer** At Satispay, we're proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and inclusion, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds.
