As Head of JS/TS Ecosystem, you will own the mid- and long-term strategy for JetBrains products for JavaScript and TypeScript developers. This role focuses on aligning product direction, go-to-market efforts, and external partnerships with the rapidly evolving web development ecosystem. You will translate ecosystem signals – from frameworks and tooling to community practices – into clear strategic priorities for JetBrains products. You will work closely with engineering, product management, marketing, and developer advocacy teams, and represent JetBrains in the broader web developer community. ### **Core responsibilities** - Set the strategy and direction for JetBrains products for web developers. Start new product directions when important niches are not addressed. - Define the work for product management, marketing, developer advocacy, and partnerships in the web ecosystem, and keep everyone working toward one plan. - Track important changes and trends in the web community (frameworks, tooling, major releases, new workflows). - Build and maintain relationships with key people in the web ecosystem (companies, open-source projects, community leaders). - Work with engineering and QA leads to set priorities and plan work. - Represent JetBrains in the web ecosystem at key events and meetings. - Coordinate with other ecosystems when areas overlap (e.g. Databases, Go, AI). ### **Requirements** - A deep understanding of how web developers work: JavaScript/TypeScript, major frameworks (especially React), Node.js and browser tooling, package managers, build tools, code quality tools (linting/formatting), testing, and performance tooling. - Experience setting product direction based on market needs as a Product Manager or Head of Product. - Experience leading work across product management, marketing, developer advocacy, and business development, directly or through cross-team leadership. - Strong external-facing capability, including partnerships, community engagement, and executive-level communication. - The ability to use data for decisions, combining community feedback with product usage and business results. ## **Why join JetBrains?** - Strong base salary.
