Healthcare Support Worker – Band 2 to 3 development role. Salary: £25,272 pro rata per annum. Work Location: St Mary's Hosp (IOW), Parkhurst Road, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5TG, Newport, United Kingdom, PO30 5TG. Hours per week: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (will consider part time, minimum 23 hours). Contract Type: Permanent. Typical duties include: Supporting patients with personal care and hygiene Helping patients move safely and comfortably Assisting with meals and hydration Making beds and maintaining a clean environment Observing and reporting changes in a patient's condition Recording information accurately using hospital systems Providing reassurance and emotional support to patients and relatives What we're looking for We are looking for caring people who: Have a positive and compassionate approach Enjoy working as part of a team Are reliable and willing to learn Can remain calm and organised in a busy environment Share our commitment to providing outstanding patient care Shift patterns Our services operate 24 hours a day and shifts may include: Early: 07:30 - 15:30 Late: 12:00 - 20:00 Long Day: 07:30 - 20:00 Night: 19:30 - 08:00 Please upload copies of your Maths and English qualifications with your application. Desire to deliver compassionate hands-on care in a hospital environment. Completed Care Certificate or ability to complete within 3 months of appointment (Pro rata for part time employee). Complete Knowledge and Behaviour Framework within 6 months of appointment. Desirable: Level 2 qualification in a Health-related subject or equivalent in a relevant area gained through experience, on the job training, short courses and completion of work-based competencies.
