At ibis Wellington, we're looking for an energetic and experienced Housekeeping Team Leader who thrives on leading by example and takes pride in creating outstanding guest experiences. This is a part-time position working on a rotating 7-day roster. You'll be a hands-on leader, coach, and problem-solver who helps our team deliver exceptional standards every day. Inspire and support a high-performing housekeeping team Lead daily room inspections and quality checks Lead from the front by jumping in wherever needed to support the team Prepare the morning reports showing occupied, vacant, check outs and out of order rooms for the Housekeeping Department as required Ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently exceed expectations Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest Champion care for guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service Help coordinate room allocations to maximise efficiency Assist with team training, onboarding, and development Respond professionally to guest enquiries and resolve concerns with care Be trusted to follow correct procedures for all lost property items and ensure housekeeping team members are aware of procedure Champion health, safety, and hotel compliance standards We're searching for someone who: Has previous experience as a Housekeeping Team Leader, Supervisor or Self-Checker Loves motivating and developing people Brings a positive, solution-focused attitude. Has excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate fluently in English. Stays calm and organised in a fast-paced environment Enjoys working collaboratively Is reliable, flexible, and able to work a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays Holds New Zealand work rights (citizenship, residency, or a valid visa) A current first aid certificate is a bonus.
