As the Infection Control RN, you are the primary architect of safety within our facility. You will lead the prevention, investigation, and monitoring of infectious diseases to protect both our patients and our healthcare team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement and manage infection prevention best practices across the organization, ensuring strict adherence to National Patient Safety Goals, OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other federal and state regulatory bodies.Collect, record, and analyze hospital records, laboratory results, and clinical data to monitor for potential outbreaks.Develop orientation, ongoing, and remedial training programs adhering to evidenced based practice guidelines.Evaluates competency of staff, including newly hired staff to determine competency to work with assigned patient populations.Collaborate with nursing and quality/risk leadership to ensure clinical care meets quality standards.Ensure all staff attend the required number of in-service/education hours as mandated by state, federal, or other regulatory agencies.
