**About the team** The Insight Intelligence Team sits at the heart of the NMC’s public protection work. We bring together information from a wide range of sources, including whistleblowing disclosures, safeguarding concerns, healthcare organisations, regulators and professional stakeholders. Our role is to assess, analyse and interpret intelligence to identify patterns, trends and emerging risks. The insight we provide helps colleagues and senior leaders make informed decisions that support public safety and confidence in nursing, midwifery and nursing associate professions. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels respected, included and empowered to do their best work. **Your role and impact** As an Insight Intelligence Officer, you’ll help ensure that important intelligence is identified, assessed and used effectively to support decision making across the organisation. You’ll work with sensitive and often complex information, applying your analytical skills to understand risks, identify themes and uncover emerging issues. Your work will directly contribute to the NMC’s ability to respond proactively to concerns and protect the public. In this role, you will: - Assess and manage intelligence, including whistleblowing disclosures and safeguarding concerns. - Analyse information from a variety of sources to identify risks, trends and emerging themes. - Produce high-quality intelligence reports, briefings and assessments that support strategic and operational decision making. - Build effective relationships with colleagues, regulators and external stakeholders. - Contribute to intelligence-sharing activities and collaborative projects across the organisation. - Support the continuous improvement of intelligence processes and ways of working. - Ensure information is managed appropriately and in line with governance, confidentiality and data protection requirements. You’ll have the opportunity to investigate complex issues, connect information from multiple sources and provide insight that helps shape organisational responses to emerging challenges. **What you will bring** We’re looking for someone who is inquisitive, thoughtful and motivated by using evidence and insight to make a positive impact. You may already have experience in intelligence, safeguarding, investigations, regulation, compliance, public protection, risk management, research or another analytical environment. You’ll bring: - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess information objectively and identify key issues. - Experience handling complex or sensitive information and exercising sound judgement. - The ability to produce clear, accurate and impactful reports, briefings or assessments. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. - A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities. - An understanding of information governance and data protection principles. - A commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes.
