GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. We are partnering with an organization seeking an experienced Interim Controller to provide leadership and oversight of accounting operations during a transitional period. This role will be responsible for managing the close process, financial reporting, internal controls, and day-to-day accounting functions while ensuring business continuity. ### ### Responsibilities - Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting - Manage month-end and year-end close processes - Review financial statements and supporting schedules - Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls - Lead cash flow management and financial analysis efforts - Support audit preparation and external reporting requirements - Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies - Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff ### Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - 8+ years of progressive accounting experience - Prior Controller or accounting leadership experience - Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting - ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills - Ability to quickly assess and improve accounting processes
