Interim Demand Planning Manager (Part-Time)

Job description

## About Bobbie Bobbie makes European-style organic infant formula manufactured end-to-end in the U.S., because we believe every parent deserves to feed their baby with confidence, without judgment and without compromise. No mystery ingredients. No shortcuts. Just clean, thoughtfully made formula that parents can trust. But Bobbie has never been just a formula company. When the 2022 national infant formula shortage left parents across the country unable to feed their babies, we closed our storefront to new customers rather than leave a single existing family without formula. We went to Washington. We got loud. And we opened our Heath, Ohio manufacturing facility to make sure something like that could never happen again. That's who we are, and that's what you'd be joining. ## Bobbie for Change Our advocacy arm, Bobbie for Change, exists because making great formula isn't enough if the systems around parenthood are still broken. We fight for paid federal parental leave, push for legislation to prevent future formula shortages, advocate for feeding equity, and support families navigating impossible situations, including donating formula to parents impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers through the Bobbie Breasties program. We're a company that genuinely believes becoming a parent makes you an activist. The people who work here feel that too. **The Role:** Bobbie is hiring a part-time interim Demand Planning Manager to own the retail demand forecast and turn it into accurate, actionable plans for our retail business. This role reports to our Director, Commercial and Demand Planning and sits at the center of our retail growth, connecting retailer sell-through data to supply, finance, and sales decisions. This is a temporary role for ~8 months. This person will build and maintain the retail volume plan that drives our revenue forecast, using retailer POS data, syndicated market data, distribution changes, promotional calendars, and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy at the account, item, and week level. The Interim Demand Planning Manager will be a thought partner to our sales team and retail partners, helping deliver Bobbie’s growth strategy on shelf. They will also partner with the Strategy & Data Insights team to bring retail insights into the strategic roadmap. **What you will accomplish:** - Own the retail demand plan and forecasting process, building forecasts by retailer, item, and week, and tracking accuracy and bias over time. - Partner with Supply Chain to make sure product is in the right place at the right time for our retail partners, owning the retail demand input into S&OP. - Translate retailer POS, inventory, and order data into sell-in forecasts, monitoring weeks of supply and flagging out-of-stock or overstock risk early. - Partner with Sales on tracking retail performance, using SPINS, IRI/Circana, and Nielsen data to analyze Bobbie and the broader category. - Build forecasts for new distribution, new items, resets, and promotions, and measure their impact after launch. - Partner with FP&A and the sales team to deliver the retail portion of the Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecast updates. - Support scenario planning for retail growth moves, including new accounts, new items, and new programs. - Collaborate with product, operations, marketing, finance, and data teams to evaluate how business decisions affect retail supply and service levels. **What we would like you to have:** - 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or S&OP, ideally in CPG. - Hands-on experience forecasting for mass retail accounts and working directly with retailer data and replenishment teams. - Strong understanding of SPINS, IRI/Circana, and Nielsen data reporting required. - Experience with retailer data portals (such as Walmart Retail Link or Target Partners Online) preferred. - Ability to balance competing priorities, develop solutions, and turn analysis into clear recommendations. - Experience with an ERP system; NetSuite preferred. - Advanced skills in both Excel and Google Sheets. - Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. **You’re inspired by our core values:** - Be Radical - We are change makers, rule breakers and stigma shakers. We are unapologetically bold and use our megaphone for good. - Nurture the Tension - Parenthood is full of healthy *tension*, and so is building a company. We embrace the unknowns, practice humility and are a culture of learners. - Deliver Ounce by Ounce - Our customers have entrusted us to feed their babies. We lose sleep over the details, so they don’t have to. - Don’t Assume - We embrace our unique perspectives, withhold judgment, and find beauty in the paths that brought us all to Bobbie. Our strength is celebrating each other and our collective voice. At Bobbie, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company. We seek to create a culture where everyone can belong because we believe that people do their best work when they can show up every day as their authentic selves. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. Bobbie is an equal opportunity employer.
