FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint. At FenX every day offers a new opportunity to shape the future. To support our Technical Team, we are looking for a talented and passionate intern with knowledge in materials. Tasks Co-development of porous minerals, production of prototypes, quality control. Transfer of R&D formulations to the prototyping plant. Material characterization and support on material certification. Planning and improvement of prototype production processes. Support on operating and maintaining the prototyping line. Support of the technical team on other issues as required. Requirements Ideally ETH/FH materials science , mechanical or civil engineering with knowledge/ passion for ceramic and cementitious materials Impact driven person with a passion for innovation Hands-on attitude and technical understanding Systematic problem-solving skills Team-oriented and reliable English and ideally German proficiency Knowledge in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Python, CAD is a plus Swiss work permit Benefits Impact: shape society’s future in a creative working environment Personal growth: experience direct work impact and grow with the daily challenges of a start-up.
