INTERN LEARNING EXPECTATIONS The Person in Environment Perspective combines a significant amount of field experience with documentation maintenance. This method includes the following: Provision of a comprehensive orientation of the intern to the agency staff, individual systems, agency policies and procedures, safety concerns, supervision expectations and requirements, casework requirements, and legal and ethical requirements. Significant experience in direct clinical work with individuals Exposure to one or more theoretical practice frameworks with individuals, families, or groups; either directly or through observation. Experience with case management and networking Experience with documentation development such as service plans and progress notes Conducting and completing bio-psychosocial assessment, process recordings, treatment plans with feedback from the field educator. Experience with event planning, case staffing, and treatment team meetings. Experience with service advocacy Specific treatment plan development that includes outlining specific goals, interventions, strengths, needs, abilities, preferences, learning objectives and activities consistent with assessments and other documentation Open communication with the Field Supervisor and faculty liaison on the quality of field experiences and learning needs. Participation in community outreach projects.
