Your Role Integrated into a team of scientists and research engineers, you will work on research projects in medical robotics. This includes: Developing and testing concepts for medical robotics and robot-assisted surgery Evaluating concepts both in simulation and on real setups, getting hands-on experience with robotics in the medical field Conducting experiments in our robotics laboratory Presenting and discussing research findings in team and department meetings Working with researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment at the ZEISS Innovation Hub Karlsruhe, located at the KIT Campus North What We Offer An opportunity to build the foundation for next-generation products A dynamic and international team with an active student community Hands-on research experience in medical robotics, including experimental lab work Mentorship by experienced PhD-level experts A modern working environment with state-of-the-art tools for research (AI-assisted coding, etc.) Your Profile You are interested in technology and motivated to work on challenging tasks You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field You have a strong engineering background and basic knowledge in robotics You have programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, ROS, C++ Good communication skills in English and/or German A hands-on mentality, an open mind, and excellent problem-solving and innovation skills Passion for emerging technologies and motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams Sounds exciting?
