IT Support Specialist (Secret Cleared)

### **Position Overview:** We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented **IT Support Specialist** with experience supporting **PC operating systems** (including legacy systems such as DOS and modern Windows environments), as well as a solid understanding of **networking and email standards**. This role will provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure reliable system and network performance across the organization. **Active Secret clearance or higher is required.** ### Responsibilities: - Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices - Install, configure, and maintain **PC operating systems**, including legacy environments (DOS) and current Windows platforms - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues in a timely manner - Support basic networking functions, including IP configuration, connectivity troubleshooting, and network device support - Configure and troubleshoot email systems using standard protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) - Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory or similar) - Maintain and deploy system images, patches, and updates - Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in a ticketing system - Assist with system backups, data recovery, and endpoint security measures - Collaborate with senior IT staff and vendors to resolve escalated issues - Provide end-user training and guidance on IT systems and best practices
