Java Developer

Job description

Confirmo is a stablecoin payment infrastructure trusted by market leaders. Founded over a decade ago by crypto natives, we're one of the first crypto payment processors in the world and have built one of the most established infrastructures in the industry. Over the past 4 years, we have been growing exponentially (130+%) and expanding across the U.S., Middle East, and Europe. As part of our continued growth, we are now expanding our engineering team in Czechia. Overview: We're looking for a holistic and seasoned Backend Developer looking for freedom yet having a highly collaborative and open-minded attitude. You're not only a developer, you want to architect solutions, you care about security principles, you want to deal with IaC infrastructure (AWS), you're passionate about services observability, you like the underlying principles of crypto, you want to teach us something and you also want to learn something new, then we're looking for you. We interact with crypto exchanges, we're operating and processing blockchain nodes, we're early adopters of the lightning network, our backlog is full of requests from our customers, we've insane amount of status quo breaking ideas, imagine all the fun 🙂 We explore and move fast. A checklist is our most complex “process”. Are you passionate about spending most of your working time on tech-heavy subjects? Come and join us. Your Profile: Mastery of JVM and PostgreSQL (Java 25 we are currently using). Proven track record of full-cycle backend development, including testing, integration, monitoring and maintenance. Analytical thinking, highly organised mind. We don't have the capacity to micromanage, we need to rely on your abilities. Strong ability to prioritise and choose your battles. Our technical debt needs to be deliberated and organised. The willingness to be regularly giving (and receiving) constructive feedback. We are following the disagree & commit principle. You're expected to work fluently with AI-assisted development tools - we build with Claude Code daily to speed up implementation, catch issues earlier, and maintain high code quality. This isn't optional tooling; it's core to how our team operates. Any of these is a plus: Previous SW engineering experience in the crypto, online payments, banking, or retail industries. Proven track record of actively contributing to the OPS topics and infrastructure engineering. You should be somewhat "happy" in the Linux CLI :-). Familiarity with the backend technologies: Spring Boot, JPA, Maven. Location: Our engineering team is based in Prague and remotely across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. If you are interested in learning more, please submit your CV, and our recruiter will get back to you promptly.
