CI&T is looking for a **Senior Data Steward** to join our Data Governance team and help drive data quality, ownership, and usability across the organization. This professional will play a key role in establishing and maintaining governance processes, managing metadata, supporting data quality initiatives, and acting as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure data is properly documented, trusted, and aligned with governance standards. **Responsibilities** - Manage metadata requests and maintain data documentation and catalog information. - Act as a business and governance analyst for data-related initiatives. - Partner with data owners and business stakeholders to define and document data ownership and accountability. - Ensure adherence to data governance policies, standards, and best practices. - Identify data issues and coordinate resolution through the appropriate governance processes. - Profile datasets and create basic data quality checks and controls. - Support data-related requests and promote data usability and trust across the organization. - Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve data governance processes and standards. **Required Qualifications** - Proven experience in **Data Governance**, **Data Stewardship**, or **Data Management** roles. - Strong understanding of: - Data Governance frameworks and practices - Metadata management - Data Quality principles and controls - Data ownership and data lifecycle management - Data contracts and governance policies - Familiarity with **Data Engineering concepts**, including data ingestion processes and ETL/ELT. - Experience or familiarity with **Databricks** environments. - Understanding of programming logic and basic knowledge of **Python**. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Advanced English **What We're Looking For** - Strong sense of ownership and accountability. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to navigate complex enterprise environments and work across multiple teams. - Collaborative mindset with strong adaptability and resilience. - Ability to translate business requirements into governance processes and standards. **Nice to Have** - Experience with data catalog and metadata management tools. - Experience implementing or supporting Data Quality initiatives. - Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and governance solutions. - Experience working in global and cross-functional environments. #LI-LL1
