Job description
Securiport LLC is a US company based in Washington, DC, specializing in designing and implementing passenger biometric recognition, immigration processing, and intelligent information reporting and management systems based on advanced technological solutions. Securiport provides a complete immigration processing solution and analytics to maintain border security. Services include technical analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of Securiport’s software solutions, training, and technical support to the field operations. Position Summary The ideal candidate has strong US-GAAP accounting knowledge The Junior Accountant position is responsible for the closing process and reconciliation of intercompany transactions and will support the Accounting Manager in the consolidation and reporting processes. Responsibilities Support the Accounting Manager in the consolidation and reporting processes. Knowledgeable in multi-currency transactions and related impacts of foreign exchange rates on the financial statements. Reconcile and eliminate intercompany balances and investment in subsidiaries. Work closely with international and Head office finance team members to achieve accurate and timely results. Assist in creating and developing efficiencies within the consolidation process. Prepare necessary account reconciliations for the Head office's closing process, including but not limited to Bank reconciliations, Fixed assets, Accounts receivable, Accounts payable and accruals, revenue, and significant expenses such as payroll. Assist in the preparation of necessary audit schedules to support the financials and footnote disclosures Assist with analytical reviews of quarterly and annual financials Participate in special projects as deemed necessary Requirements/ Qualifications Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP required Previous consolidation experience and accounting system (Quickbooks) experience preferred Ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established standards Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and French and Spanish language skills are a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with senior-level managers and teammates Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional image, pay close attention to details and manage deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent years of experience plus 2+ years of accounting experience. CPA designation preferred.
