Jr Operations Associate

Job description

**Who We Are:** We build infrastructure that delivers massive amounts of web data to the companies training the world’s most powerful AI models. We're the team that helps to power and support Grass, a bandwidth-sharing network that lets us operate a massive distributed crawler, giving us unique access to high-quality public web data at global scale. On top of that, we’ve built pipelines for ingesting, segmenting, and annotating billions of videos, transcripts, and audio files, powering dataset creation for frontier labs. We’re lean, technical, and move fast. No red tape, no slow decision-making; just a team of builders pushing to expand what’s possible for open web data and AI. **The Role.** We are seeking a Jr Operations Associate who will support the Operations Managers and Chief of Staff in keeping day-to-day business operations running smoothly. This is an early-career role for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and ready to take on real operational work — from record-keeping and admin to assisting with finance, contracts, and process improvements — with clear guidance from ops leadership. **Who You Are.** - Acts with integrity and seeks out responsibility. - Demonstrates resourcefulness, and motivation for getting things done. - Approaches challenges as opportunities. - Curious and eager to learn. - Welcomes feedback and open dialogue. - Process driven. - Meticulous about accuracy and follow-through. You close loops and don’t let details slip. **What You'll Be Doing.** - Supporting accurate, organized record-keeping across Google Drive, Notion, and archives, including timely updates and version control. - Assisting with accounts payable/receivable workflows: invoice processing, tracking, reconciliations, and follow-ups. - Helping maintain contract and compliance document workflows under the guidance of Operations Managers. - Preparing operational documents such as reports, spreadsheets, and briefing notes. - Supporting administration of tools and systems (Google Workspace, accounts/licenses) and monitoring shared inboxes as needed. - Collaborating across teams to keep operational work moving smoothly. - Contributing to process improvements and special projects that expand what the ops team can deliver. **Skills, Requirements and Qualifications.** - Recent graduate, Bachelor degree, or 0–2 years of experience in an administrative, operations, finance, or project coordination role. - Strong attention to detail and organization; comfortable managing multiple small workstreams with clear priorities. - Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive); familiarity with Notion or similar tools is a plus. - Comfort working with numbers, invoices, and structured processes; prior exposure to AP/AR or bookkeeping is helpful but not required. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Eager to learn financial operations, compliance, and contract workflows in a fast-paced environment. - Comfortable in a remote, dynamic team where priorities can shift. **Why Work With Us:** - Opportunity. We are at the forefront of developing a web-scale crawler and knowledge graph that improves access to public web data and extends the value of AI to the people. - Culture. We're a lean team with a high bar. We come to work not to be comfortable, but to find out what we're capable of and to do work that matters. We're not calling for people who keep things moving. We're calling for people who make everyone around them better. We prioritize low ego and high output. This is a fully remote team. - Compensation. You’ll receive a competitive salary & benefits.
