# Junior NodeJS Developer > Advansys · Cairo, Egypt (Hybrid) · — · Posted 2026-10-06 **Workplace:** hybrid **Department:** Vodafone ## Description ### Responsibilities - Develop, configure, and maintain conversational chatbot flows using the **Microsoft Bot Framework** and various **Microsoft Azure services**, ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience. - Design and implement conversational experiences based on business requirements, including dialogue flows, intents, entities, prompts, and fallback scenarios. - Develop, integrate, and optimize **Natural Language Understanding (NLU)** models to improve the chatbot’s ability to understand user intent, context, and variations in conversational inputs. - Continuously monitor and enhance NLU performance by analyzing user interactions, identifying gaps, and improving intents, entities, and conversational responses. - Develop and maintain **back-end services using Node.js**, ensuring efficient, scalable, and maintainable application components that support chatbot functionality. - Integrate chatbot solutions with internal and external systems using **REST APIs**, third-party services, and enterprise applications. - Design and implement API integrations to enable the chatbot to retrieve, process, and exchange information with various systems in real time. - Write, optimize, and maintain **SQL queries** for retrieving and managing data required by chatbot and back-end services. - Work closely with business analysts, product owners, developers, and other technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective conversational solutions. - Participate actively in **Agile development practices**, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure chatbot features are delivered according to business and technical requirements. - Perform **testing, troubleshooting, and debugging** of chatbot functionalities, APIs, integrations, and back-end services to identify and resolve issues efficiently. - Conduct end-to-end testing of chatbot conversations and API integrations to ensure accuracy, reliability, and a consistent user experience. - Investigate production issues and technical defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions. - Monitor chatbot performance and user interactions, identifying opportunities to improve response accuracy, system performance, and overall conversational experience. - Follow software development best practices, including **version control, clean coding, documentation, testing, and code reviews**. - Contribute to technical documentation covering chatbot flows, API integrations, NLU models, configurations, and system components. - Stay up to date with developments in **Conversational AI, Microsoft Bot Framework, Azure, NLU, Node.js, and related technologies**, and contribute ideas for improving the chatbot platform and development practices. ## Apply [Apply at Advansys](https://apply.workable.com/advansys-esc-1/j/75D6471861/apply) --- Powered by [Workable](https://www.workable.com)
