Key Account Manager

Job description

About the role You will take care of our existing clients, mostly global pharma and life sciences companies. Your job is to make sure they stay with us and grow with us. You identify new needs within each account and sell additional services (cross-selling and upselling). You will work closely with our Delivery Managers and the Head of Growth. This is an active sales role, not an account administration role. Your Responsibilities Identify upsell and expansion opportunities that align with client needs. Build trust with senior stakeholders and position Appsilon as a long-term strategic partner. Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless communication and account visibility. Provide quarterly insight reports to guide Appsilon’s positioning in the Life Sciences space. We’re looking for someone with: 3+ years of experience in account management or B2B sales of IT services, software, or consulting. Experience working with enterprise clients and senior decision-makers. Clear results in growing accounts, such as renewals, upsells, or cross-sells, you can talk about. Enough technical understanding to talk confidently about custom software and data solutions. Very good English (C1) Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly. Willingness to travel within the EU and the USA for key meetings and industry events. A strong advantage would be knowledge of Life Sciences (e.g., clinical trials, regulatory submissions). You can't show concrete results from your past roles. Our offer: Fully remote work, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones and align working hours with key client needs. A strategic account management role with real ownership - you build and grow long-term partnerships with global pharma and life sciences clients. Direct influence on revenue stability and expansion through cross-sells, upsells, and executive-level relationship building. Close collaboration with Delivery Managers and Growth leadership to ensure clients experience consistent value and choose Appsilon as a long-term partner. Competitive B2B compensation aligned with experience, responsibility, and business impact, with clear and transparent terms. Time and budget for continuous professional development, including life sciences domain knowledge, negotiation skills, and industry events. Exposure to senior stakeholders and decision-makers at leading pharma organizations, with opportunities to strengthen your consulting and advisory profile.
