Laboratory Technician (Part-time Temporary) - Eurofins Built Environment Testing - Cary, NC

This position serves as an entry level college student position working in the TEM department. This is a part-time temporary position. The Technician will assist all areas of the laboratory with administrative and basic laboratory tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sample handling and login, sample preparation, and general administrative tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Regular attendance and punctuality · Assist with quality control administrative tasks · Receive customer correspondence and direct the information to the appropriate personnel · Prepare samples for analysis · Log in client samples · Stock laboratory supplies · Maintain, clean and prepare glassware and other laboratory equipment · Assist with special projects as needed Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ) Education/Experience (BMQ): Pursing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in physical or life science. Ability and/or Skills (BMQ): •Strong computer, scientific, organizational and problem-solving skills •Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, and a positive attitude •Handle moderate stress •Detail oriented •Ability to follow instructions and comply with SOPs •Effective communication (oral and written) and attention to detail •Adaptability to work in varying laboratory environments Requirements: Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English Position is part-time, temporary working up to 20 hours/week. 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Pay rate: $16/hr Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
