With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Language Manager (Russian) to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect. This role is awarded as a 2 year Fixed Term Contract. ### Responsibilities - Own the quality of the Russian translations - Translates in-game text, voice scripts, marketing and PR content as required to support products and services through development, launch and beyond - Creates and maintains translation memories, glossaries, and style guides - Provides cultural and creative input regarding the localization of Larian products into the target region - Maintains awareness of the games industry in the target market and communicates trends to relevant stakeholders - Develops and builds strong relationships with relevant stakeholders in an effort to resolve questions or conflicts related to terminology, language quality and workflow - Playtests to confirm in-game text context for accurate translation - Collaborates with external localization vendors to improve the language quality ### Requirements - 2 years of experience or more localizing video games - Strong writing and editing skills in Russian - Fluent in English - Experience localizing time-delimited dialogues - Experience with CAT Tools, memoQ is a plus - This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration and creativity ### Nice to Haves - At least one AAA game shipped - Experience with voice acting casting - Experience with Confluence and JIRA ### What we offer - An international team of over 500 employees spread across 7 studios around the world, each of which have their own unique qualities, and maintain a small-studio feel - An open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcome and encouraged - A managerial team consisting of highly experienced game developers at the top of their fields - Sharing hobbies and passions with like-minded colleagues - Inclusive environment with many activities organized by the studios or the employees - Commitment to making the best game possible for the fans, including listening to community feedback
