Lead Fabricator Pay: $30/hour, depending on experience Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for reviewing drawings, operating a CNC plasma table, fabricating metal components, and ensuring parts are produced accurately and safely. The ideal candidate has strong metal fabrication experience, can confidently read 2D and 3D CAD drawings, and can lead by example while coaching and training lower-level fabricators. Responsibilities Review 2D and 3D drawings to ensure parts are fabricated to specifications Operate a CNC plasma cutting table Perform metal fabrication and related shop duties as needed Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to safely move materials Coach and train lower-level fabricators on proper work procedures and techniques Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to the fabrication team Ensure company policies, procedures, quality standards, and production requirements are followed Perform light supervisory duties and lead staff by example Inspect work for accuracy and quality Follow all safety procedures and ensure team members do the same Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow Lockout/Tagout and other applicable safety procedures Qualifications Previous experience in metal fabrication Proficiency reading and interpreting 2D and 3D CAD drawings Experience operating fabrication shop equipment CNC plasma table experience preferred Previous forklift and overhead crane experience preferred Ability to professionally lead and coach other employees Comfortable handling light supervisory responsibilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to troubleshoot and solve fabrication-related issues Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong commitment to workplace safety Overhead Crane Requirements EMH 5-ton overhead crane Materials include steel plate up to 3/8" x 48" x 117" Average material weight: approximately 600 lbs. Maximum lift: approximately 1,000 lbs.
