Lead Field Marketing Manager

Job description

🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers. Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest. We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place. Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank, a long runway ahead, and unicorn status. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter. We’re looking for a hands-on Field Marketing Manager to help build Aikido’s presence across the developer and security communities. This role is focused on driving pipeline and awareness through events, community engagement, and regional campaigns. You’ll work closely with sales, partnerships, and marketing to plan and execute programs that connect Aikido with developers, security leaders, and startup teams. This is a great role for someone who enjoys owning events end-to-end, building relationships in the local tech ecosystem, and turning community engagement into real pipeline. Responsibilities Own and run regional events, from meetups and dinners to major industry conferences. Turn events into qualified pipeline together with Sales. Build Aikido’s presence in developer, startup, and security communities. Partner with Sales and Partnerships on ABM, partner events, and target accounts. Own event execution end to end, including logistics, speakers, content, follow up, and performance. Bring Aikido’s no BS security voice into the field and turn great events into great brand moments. 4–7 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or community marketing Experience supporting B2B SaaS, developer tools, or cybersecurity products Comfortable running events from concept to execution Strong collaboration with sales teams and pipeline-driven marketing programs Experience managing conferences, meetups, and regional marketing programs Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment Bonus if you have: Experience in developer tooling, DevOps, or cybersecurity Existing relationships in the Bay Area startup or developer community Experience running events for technical audiences What you can expect Short decision lines. Big ownership. Shape the projects that matter and ship fast. Grow as fast as we do. Take on more, own more, and carve out your own path. Top-tier tech pay and equity. High trust, strong values, zero corporate BS. Flexibility in working hours. A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere. We hire for talent, drive, and potential. Everything else is noise.
