Job description
Job Description Summary The Lead Product Service Engineer - Turbine Controls & Operability provides direct technical support to global GE Vernova Gas Power customers across three primary workstreams. Job Description Key Responsibilities Own the technical resolution to multiple complex Controls system issues including Gas turbine and Steam Controls & Operability with a sense of urgency. Identify trending issues and provide countermeasures to protect our customers’ fleet, then communicate to the relevant audience (TILs, PSxBs, ETCs, OnTheGo alerts, etc.) Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, Regional Customer Engineering Centers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Vendors, and/or Customers to provide sound technical resolution in a timely manner Drive complex RCAs through root cause and corrective action while communicating both internally (field teams, GEV leadership) and externally to end customers Lead and promote the GE Vernova Way traits, lean principles, and simplification into day-to-day activities Required Qualifications Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in engineering from accredited university Minimum 5 years of direct experience in controls/operations/engineering/ installation of Gas Turbines/Steam Turbines or relevant functions Proven experience in a customer-facing or Engineering role Strong oral and written communication in English language This role requires around 10-15% within and outside of the region Desired Characteristics Proven experience with GE Vernova HA/F Class Gas turbines Self-starter and resourceful problem-solver that can navigate the GE Vernova resource databases and organizations to deliver a solution, with urgency Not afraid of being uncomfortable with the specific technical problem and willingness to apply engineering problem-solving methods to resolve the issue, under pressure Ability to communicate at all levels (field engineers, site engineers, plant managers, GE Vernova leadership, etc.) Ability to rapidly change directions for multiple concurrent projects based on emergent business priorities Expertise in ControlST application algorithms modifications, and turbine operational trend data analysis.
